About Coach Nibbs

Coach David Nibbs has coached athletes for more than 20 years, with a focus on speed, strength, movement quality, confidence, and complete athlete development. He is the founder of Piedmont Elite Sports Performance and Piedmont Elite Track Club.

He grew up as a missionary kid, living and traveling in different parts of the world - an experience that taught him early how differently people respond to coaching and communication. That lesson still shapes how he works with every athlete today.

A former Division I track and field competitor, Coach Nibbs has since worked with athletes at every stage, from youth athletes just getting started to advanced competitors chasing the next level. His approach is built on one belief: development should be systematic, measurable, and progressive.

Why athletes improve here

Most athletes never reach their full potential because they focus on skills while neglecting the physical foundation that drives performance. Our system develops speed, strength, movement, recovery, and mindset to help athletes perform at their highest level.

Why the Academy exists

Most athletes only spend a few hours a week with a coach - development doesn't stop the rest of the time, it just goes unmanaged. The Academy was built to close that gap: a structured, parent-managed system for the hours between coaching sessions. It also works as a standalone training option on its own.

It isn't a replacement for quality in-person coaching. Private and small-group coaching are purchased separately, and available locally in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Charlotte, and nearby communities.

Coach Nibbs also lives with Multiple Sclerosis, which has affected his own physical abilities over time. That reality played a real part in his decision to expand coaching beyond purely in-person delivery. Remote coaching and the Academy let him keep developing athletes even when mobility or health limits what he can do in person.
